Well, what can I say? I had been eagerly awaiting this one for a while. Since we last flew Korean Air from Incheon in economy all the way to Atlanta. At the time, we were impressed with the quality of the food, even in economy. Business was no exception. Foodie heaven.

The Seat

My Seat

The seat was large and roomy. It was a fully lie flat business seat, and I was able to comfortably extend my feet and toes while fully flat. I was able to lay on my stomach, back and side in relative comfort. I would say it is one of the most comfortable business class seats I ever flew.

The only negative was the relatively narrow bridge between my seat and the isle, it was a little tough for me to get out to use the restroom. This may not be an issue for smaller passengers, but I had to turn sideways and slide through.

Room in my cabin

The cool thing about the design of this seat was how you could leave your items on the ground and extend the seat over it. I no longer had to worry about my bag or shoes getting caught under the chair when reclining, and it allowed me more room to sprawl myself about.

My Screen

Lastly was the excellent screen each seat is equipped with. I never used mine as it was a bit far away, but I enjoyed my wife’s screen, which was directly to my left. It was also very responsive.

The Food

The food was abundant and delicious! I had 2 amazing courses of Galbi beef, and chinese. With some special ramyun specially made for Korean Air in the middle. Some of the best food I ever had in the sky and everything I wanted it to be.

Delicous Chateau

In the midst of the food, the flight attendant, with a smile, continuously supplied drinks. Whether it was wine, orange or guava juice, water, coffee-you name it, she brought it.

If I had any negatives to this experience, it didn’t even have to do with the on-plane experience. Because I had booked this through a code share via delta, I couldn’t select my meals before boarding, so there was a little disappointment when we were unable to get our A-choice meals when on board.

I liked this too

Outside that though I really have no complaints. I enjoyed the fruit, and ice cream they brought as well. 10/10 would dine here again.

The Service

The service before boarding was challenging. When trying to board initially, someone told me there weren’t boarding yet, despite the big sign over head saying that business passengers were boarding and me trying to sign in via the business class line. After witnessing several others go through the same line and successfully board, we lined up behind them and lo-and-behold we were boarding.

I was a little miffed at this, along with being asked for my seat ticket no less than 3 times by 3 different people before boarding. But as soon as I got on board, all of my worries went away.

I was blessed with the kindest flight attendants who went out of their way to small talk with me, and ask me over and over if I wanted or needed anything. They even turned down the temperature of the entire aircraft just to make it easier for me to sleep.

The Overall Score

Overall, I had a remarkable flight. I feel like I hadn’t gotten sick during my last few days in Korea, this flight would have been even better. The experience from checkin at the airport to going through immigration, to settling in the lounge could be better. But when it comes to the actual metal in the sky? I loved it.

I chuckle at the various Korean businesses we passed by to get here, but really, though. I’d give this a:
