The Park Hyatt Seoul was the crux of our vacation and the cornerstone of our trip. We stayed here the longest, and enjoyed this hotel the most. When it comes to the Hyatt choices in Seoul, this is the one I would recommend you go with. Taken care of from the time we walked in the door, to the time we left.

Location
The Hotel is located in Gangnam, just like most of the upscale hotels in Seoul. What's makes this special, (along with the Shilla, and Intercontinental Seoul) is that this hotel is right next to the CoEx mall system. There is a Samseong station stop/exit which allows you to get on the subway station and go anywhere in Seoul. This is one of my favorite hubs in for a Hotel. Not only is there plenty of dining, around the hotel, or at any of the 3 malls nearby. But there is also one hell of a view for any room at this hotel.
The Room
Although I was a globalist for this stay, I was unable to get any upgrades to a suite due to how busy it was. I was in a normal king bedroom on the 11th floor. The room was fine. I wouldn’t call it the most amazing room I have been in, but it wasn’t anything to complain over either. The bed was very comfortable and one of two highlights of the room.

I very much enjoyed the soft mattress, and sheets of this hotel. Hyatt knows how to select some great pillows, but this is the first bed in Seoul that reminded me of my bed at home. I slept like a baby.

There was a TV in the room as well. I didn’t watch it much, but It was a nice 55 in 4K experience, and from what I did watch-it was sharp and sounded great.

The view outside the room is the second highlight of the room. Not only could I get an outstanding view of the Coex mall, but got some other larger buildings in Gangnam in my view as well. I rose and fell with the sun, and this also helped me get over my jet lag.

The bathroom was interesting. Not only was there a single vanity, but the shower/tub was also small, which was also more noticeable since my room had beams from the building holding up this part of the building. The rain fall shower head had great pressure just like in the Spa and was quick to heat up. I greatly enjoyed the shower.
Service

The service at this hotel is great! They were very kind and understanding, though with most South East asian cultures, very by the book. They were unwilling to accommodate room service, or any type of breakfast delivery — even if sick in bed. Furthermore, they did, however, go out of their way to give a great experience at breakfast in the restaurant and during check in. I would say the largest fault with this hotel is the design. There exists a 2 separate elevator systems. One that goes to the lobby, and Spa, and another that goes to the rooms. You must traverse through the lobby, regardless of where you want to go. They say it’s for security, but I believe this is to wade off theft.
Breakfast

Breakfast was the single greatest this about this hotel. I have not had a better meal anywhere else in Seoul (besides going to bb.q chicken in some random hole in the wall). Every morning was a remarkable spread of hot foods, salads, cold foods and many options. The juice and Milk bar were also some of my favorites.

Outside the buffet there was an ala carte menu in which you could order some of their signature dishes from the menu. The pancakes, French toast, and the fried chicken were some of my favorites. There was a random time when a lady misdelivered someone’s drink to our table. Due to the language barrier, we found it challenging to correct. I will say the staff in the restaurants speak the most amount of english, outside the concierge and checkin staff.

Overall Score
Overall, I greatly enjoyed my stay here. Between the stunning room, amazing breakfast, and all the local things to go see and do. I left my two-week stay in Gangnam, thinking I wish I had more time…and money. If staying within the hyatt program, this hotel is a no-brainer, and unless you are going for the four seasons, which is twice the price. You will really prefer this place. I will rate this place a:
4.5/5
